Busy start to Marina summer season 2022….
Wick Harbour has had an excellent start to the 2022 Summer leisure season, welcoming existing and new customers to the marina. This upturn in business following the relaxation of Covid restrictions, is a welcome and positive sign.
We have seen a rise in requests for permanent berthing on the marina from both local customers and from those outwith the area. Berthing contracts are available for periods of 3, 6, and 12 months with the majority of our users opting for contracts of 6 or 12 months. In addition On Quay storage is available all year round at competitive rates, subject to availability.
Ian Cormack Harbour Master said “ we are finding a higher proportion of our visiting yacht customers booking ahead, and also booking in for long stays of 3-4 weeks – a new trend this season. Importantly these customers are making use of the recently re-opened Wick Airport, to commute between Wick and their usual residence. They are delighted to see the airport re-opened, and we know that having the airport now offering a scheduled service is greatly valued by our offshore renewables business clients and leisure customers.”
