Cargo
Cargo vessels are accommodated on our Commercial Quay 1. In 2014 we installed Heavy Lift Pads which enable the port to handle a variety of cargoes and commodities.
We have a thriving cargo trade in coal, lime, barley, timber, road salt, onshore wind-farm components, steel pipe and oil-related hardware, and we are anticipating a major boost to business following the recent decision by Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Ltd to site their O & M base in Wick for at least the next 25 years.
Further expansion of the Harbour within the Bay is being assessed to provide longer and deeper commercial berths for more offshore wind support, oil and gas servicing and offshore de-commissioning.

Wick Railway Station is close by, and a heavy rail freight facility is available 15 miles away at Georgemas Junction.
